Process Water & Cooling System Upgrade
Expand Group was engaged by Cummins at their Perth Airport Master Rebuild Centre to replace and upgrade the site’s Process Water and Cooling System, supporting the installation of two new dyno machines. Our team delivered full hydraulic services, including the supply, installation, and commissioning of all pumps, tanks, cooling equipment and plumbing required for the project.
Working from initial planning through to completion, we managed the entire project lifecycle – coordinating our trades, ensuring site compliance, and supplying all WHS requirements, permits, and certifications. The works involved decommissioning the existing cooling towers and underground tanks, installing new above-ground tanks, cooling towers and pumps, and completing the full plumbing integration into the existing dyno process.
Special consideration was given to the installation of PE pipework, which required additional mechanical support compared with traditional copper or steel systems to ensure long-term reliability and performance.
